Spoon and Language
Using two diferent spoons, one for baby and one for caregiver, introduce the concepts of same and different, mine and yours, as well as concepts like put in, take out, open (mouth) and close. The best way for baby to learn words and concepts is through active participation.
Chair Entertainment
Some ideas in case baby gets bored before you finish your dinner :
- Give Baby a plastic bath book to look at.
- Mix up some instant pudding to spread on the tray like finger paint.
- Mix fruit yogurt and freeze it in ice-cude trays.

Mashed Potatoe Sculpture
Ages : 12 months and up
Prepare instant mashed potatoes however you like them. Put a stiff pile of potatoes on baby's tray and give her variety of foods to stick into the potatoes, creating a food sculpture. She or her may also like modeling the potatoes like play dough into shapes or using spoons, cups or other kitchen supplies.
