Baby Language Development » Stuttering
When a child is first learning to speak, his mouth can find it difficult to keep up with his fast-moving brain. This often results in a stutter, or an inability to get the words out properly. Try not to finish his sentences for him or rush him through what he is trying to say. If you listen to him as you expect to be listened to, he will have the time and your attention to say what he wants to. You may find that a stutter is more obvious when your child is stressed. If this is the case, try to reduce the stress he is feeling.
