| Your child will learn his language from those around him. If his caregivers use baby talk, that is what he will repeat. If when he uses baby talk, you respond by indicating you understand him, rather than correcting him, you may encourage him to continue. Use the correct words for things from the outset and encourage him to use the correct words. If his baby talk continues until he starts at kindergarten, other people may have difficulty in understanding him. |
